My name is Melissa, I’m 28, a stay-at-home-mom of two years and currently living in northwestern Louisiana. My husband and I are transplants from the northeastern US and while it took some time for me to get used to living so far down south, he attended college here so he can be considered a seasoned southerner! We have two boys together; Andrew, born in December 2009 and Robert, born in April 2011. They’re 16 months apart. And much to our surprise, we’ll be expecting our third this coming May, meaning that the youngest two will only be 13 months apart! This means life can get pretty hectic around here! Taking care of two under two isn’t as bad as I expected, but the fact that my husband is a pilot means things can get pretty hairy pretty fast in our house if he’s gone. Thankfully, he no longer does the airline thing and has been flying corporate since the beginning of the year, which is why we moved over 1000 miles away from our families to mark our our own existence. It’s been difficult, but definitely worth it to have him home most nights.

With two young boys (and a third on the way), it’s near impossible for me to have any hobbies, but I do love travel, photography and web design even though I don’t get many opportunities to enjoy these things as often as I’d like. This website serves to bring those things together even though it’s been more difficult to keep up since I’ve had kids.
