737 at Sunset
I created this a LONG time ago for a layout I had up at an old website. I still wish I had the original. layered file, but this is all I can find on my computer. I loved the stars and the colors in the background. Created in Adobe Illustrator 9 (yeah, I know how old that is!).
Baby Shower Invitation
Not happy with the cost of baby shower invitations, Ryan suggested I create my own. The thought never occurred to me until he mentioned it. A few hours later, I ended up with this. I only have the front shown here. Created in Adobe Illustrator 9.
Save the SAABs
“Save the whales” parody project for my husband. Now that Delta no longer owns Mesaba, there seems to be some hope for the few remaining SAABs that haven’t yet been returned to Sweden. Ryan wanted this made for a sticker so he (and anyone else who wants one) can show their support for finding new flying for the SAABs. Created in Inkscape 0.47.
CRJ 900
During my airline training, there was a brand new CRJ 900 aircraft in the hangar having an engine problem fixed. We were allowed to go out and check it out both inside and out. I was definitely fortunate to have brought my camera with me that day! This illustration is from one of the photos I took that day. Created in Inkscape 0.47.
Swirls
Having to “relearn” Inkscape after having not used it in a few months in order to work on a project for my husband, I was going through some tutorials and came across one that explained how to use the new Spiro Spline feature. After messing around with the cool little feature for an hour or so, I came up with this. I ended up using it as a header for one of my layouts. Created in Inkscape 0.47.
