Newborn
After a short, totally uncomplicated, 6 hour induced labor at 38 weeks and 6 days gestation, little Robert came into the world on April 14, 2011 at 11:52am, weighing 9 pounds 2 ounces and measuring 21 inches in length. I had my doubts about the induction, but am now glad to have gone through with it, as he probably would have been near 11 pounds by the time he hit his due date!
After only a day of being out of the hospital, he had to be readmitted because of jaundice. He underwent phototherapy for two days, then finally got to come home. It was an awful experience that we’re all glad to have behind us. Now we can finally settle down at home and enjoy our new little addition!
